I think Burke vastly over rated this team when he said the team would make the playoffs, or might make the playoffs, or could make the playoffs, or whatever he says he said, or meant to say. In any event this team looks out of it and it's only November. With all this in mind, I agree it may be time to see what we have for the future. Unfortunately we may be in store for more disappointment. I do believe Gustavsson will be good and may be much more than that. I think by playing him too much we run the risk of hurting his development. Throwing him to the wolves night after night with this bunch may annihilate his confidence. I'm not saying your suggesting this but simply saying we need to proceed with caution with this young talent. Trade Kaberle? Maybe, but there's no rush now and I would like to at least pursue an extension as they need a player like him anyway and have nothing like him in the system. Ponikarovsky and Hagman should fit well in the future as long as they have more talent around them. I'm all for seeing some of the kids up here especially considering they're not so young anyway. Hope they're has good as Burke let on, but I have my doubts.
